Pros and Cons

<div class=”utterz-entry utterli-entry”><div class=”utterz-text utterli-text”>Did you ever go to a website that rates items where people list Pros and Cons of say a particular cell phone?

I like that kind of rating system where people who has seen or used a product point out what they like and don’t like so you can tell if you want to use the product or not.

The same applies for real estate listings and listing agents most of the time don’t do it.

As an agent or a buyer, how many times have you gone to a home that once you open the door you find the place was not as promised in the glowing listing information blurb.

We’ve all seen the prefabbed listing information of "Quaint, lovely, updated home, ready for your clients to move in to" when in fact your draw drops when you see the furnace is removed, the steps have only a 6′ clearance, the rooms are too small for your cat, the place smells like Pig Pen has lived there and the house backs up to a railroad yard!

Solutions? A couple of ideas.

First, the feedback that agents so desperately want should only be available through a website where other agents can access the information and then share with their clients before going to the house.

Second, Google Earth and/or should be required on every real estate agent based MLS so you can see the neighborhood through birds eye and other views before you see the house or as a consumer, go to the site directly and look at the homes.

Third, the buyer agent should contact the agent and any other agent you know in the listing agent’s office and ask them for an honest opinion of the house before you go out.

Fourth, if you are an agent, send your assistant to a broker’s open with a camera or better a video camera on places you will most likely bring clients to.

Time management of your house search can only lead you to a better experience and hopefully the finding of the home you want faster!

Mobile post sent by FredGlick using Utterli. <img border=”0″ style=”vertical-align: middle; border: none; padding: 0px;” src=”” alt=”reply-count” /> Replies.
